According to SCORENigeria, reported Sheffield Wednesday target Ahmed Musa has two Premier League offers on the table having also been linked with Sheffield United.
The 95-cap Nigeria international is currently a free agent.
It has been some journey for Musa after Leicester City signed him for £16 million in 2016.
At 28, Musa should still have the condition to play at the very top level and the latest reports claim more than one Premier League club is eyeing a last gasp move for him.
SCORENigeria claim Musa was set to return to CSKA Moscow but is now studying offers from England’s top-flight, with one London club reportedly involved.
Wednesday’s interest in him was reported by Football Insider in November.
It was claimed then manager Tony Pulis wanted to bolster his attack and identified Musa as an option after trying to sign the striker while in charge of West Bromwich Albion.
Sheffield United, meanwhile, were reportedly offered the chance to sign Musa (TEAMtalk).
Chris Wilder’s men have desperately struggled in the top-flight this season, picking up just five points after ending a 17-game winless start with victory over Newcastle United.
The Blades have just lacked quality in the final third. Rhian Brewster has yet to get going, while David McGoldrick needs extra support up top with survival now an almighty task.
Musa could be an ideal short-term option for United.
Wednesday, meanwhile, now stand little chance of signing the lively striker with CSKA and Premier League clubs able to out-do the Owls when it comes to finances and future opportunities.
