According to The Sun on Sunday (paper edition, 17/01/2021, page 59), reported Sheffield Wednesday and Luton Town target Christian Walton is set to leave on loan.
The Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper is way down the pecking order at the Amex Stadium.
Mat Ryan, Robert Sanchez and Jason Steele are all ahead of him, while the latter has just signed a new two-year contract having never played a Premier League game for the club.
Brighton are well-stocked in the goalkeeping department. Walton, meanwhile, is out of contract this summer and at 25 will be seeking regular first-team football.

According to The Athletic, Luton Town want him with the Hatters looking to add competition to Simon Sluga. Football Insider, meanwhile, claim Wednesday wanted him prior to January.
The Owls have three established goalkeepers on their books in Keiren Westwood, Cameron Dawson and Joe Wildsmith who have all shared first-team duties this season.
But Westwood is out of contract in the summer and was previously banished by former manager Garry Monk, while Dawson is injured and Wildsmith’s form has been questionable.
Walton could arguably be a step up on the trio while a representing a long-term option.
The 6ft 5inch shot-stopper has plenty of Championship experience having previously featured at Wigan Athletic for two seasons and later Blackburn Rovers.
Wednesday have bigger priorities such as signing a new striker but getting Walton on loan now with a view to a free in the summer could save them a problem further down the line.
