Jimmy Shan has told Yorkshire Post how he hasn’t received an approach from Sheffield Wednesday to join manager Darren Moore’s coaching staff.
The former Solihull Moors boss worked with Moore at West Bromwich Albion.
Shan has a long-standing relationship with Moore but didn’t join him at Doncaster Rovers after undergoing his own managerial career in non-league with Solihull Moors.
But since his dismissal after a run of just one win in ten games, Shan has been heavily linked with a move to Wednesday to join Moore’s coaching staff at Hillsborough.

Speaking out on the claims, Shan says no approach has been made.
“I have a really good relationship with Darren but the last time we spoke was before he went into Sheffield Wednesday. There is nothing out there to say that I will be walking into Sheffield Wednesday on Monday morning. At this moment I can say to you that it is no more than speculation. He is a fantastic person and has forged himself a fantastic managerial career,” Shan explained.
Moore joined Wednesday from League One side Doncaster Rovers earlier this month.
The former West Brom defender becomes the Owls’ third permanent manager of the season, following the dismissals of Garry Monk and Tony Pulis with the latter lasting just nine games.
Moore has since presided over two defeats in his opening two matches, taking Wednesday’s winless run to six games as the Owls face an uphill task in their bid for survival.
Wednesday are seven points adrift of safety heading into the final two months.
Moore has a big task on his hands, and the arrival of a familiar face in Shan could prompt a positive reaction and help the Owls find some much-needed form on the pitch.
