The former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Sam Hutchinson has joined Pafos FC.
Hutchinson spent more than six years on Wednesday’s books, but was frozen out – not for the first time – for much of the second half of last season.
He was eventually released at the end of his contract in June and was rumoured to have interest from the Owls’ Championship rivals, Watford.
But the 31-year-old was unveiled as a Pafos player earlier on Monday, via the Cypriot side’s Instagram account.

Hutchinson will join his fellow Englishmen Jason Puncheon, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy and Will Mannion at the club managed by the Welshman, Cameron Toshack – son of John.
And the former Chelsea academy player could face his ex-Hillsborough teammate Atdhe Nuhiu as early as next month, with the Kosovan’s new side, APOEL Nicosia, due to host Pafos on the 17th.
Hutchinson’s move means that Kieran Lee and Paul Jones are the only senior players still without a club after their Wednesday contracts expired this summer.
Steven Fletcher, Morgan Fox (both Stoke), Fernando Forestieri (Udinese) and Sam Winnall (Oxford United) have all found new, permanent homes.
