Sheffield Wednesday suffered yet another defeat on Friday night, losing 3-0 at home to Sunderland in the Championship.
Sheffield Wednesday remain without a win in the league this season, with the club seemingly in meltdown after a string of absurd Dejphon Chansiri statements and poor performances under Xisco Munoz.
And Friday’s game was another dreadful one for the Owls, who were three goals behind within the first half hour of the match.
One player stood out as having a particular poor game as well; Bambo Diaby.
The summer signing has started all but one league game under Munoz this season but he’s yet to show why, and his performance on Friday night was arguably his worst.
And according to Ricky Charlesworth at Yorkshire Live, one of the worst performances from a Wednesday defender ever.
Diaby earned a 1/10 rating on Friday night, with Charlesworth writing of the 25-year-old after the game:
“If it’s not the worst performance ever posted by a defender at Hillsborough then it’ll do until then. Shambolic and at fault for at least two of the goals. Booked too, to add insult to injury.”

Sheffield Wednesday’s other options…
Munoz’s team selection has become increasingly questionable.
He’s leaving experienced players like Dominic Iorfa and Liam Palmer on the bench in place of Diaby, with Michael Ihiekwe not even in the match day squad on Friday night.
Diaby may prove to be a useful player across the course of a 46-game season but right now, he’s not up to it, and his performance on Friday was nowhere near the level needed in the Championship.
Sheffield Wednesday are next in action against West Brom on Tuesday night, in what is sure to be another difficult outing for the Owls.
