Some Watford fans have taken to Twitter to praise Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan following the Hornet’s 1-0 win at Vicarage Road on Friday.
Watford took another step towards promotion after sealing all three points against the Owls.
Wednesday can hold their heads high after a decent display at Vicarage Road, but ultimately another game goes by and the threat of relegation grows bigger.
An unfortunately own goal by Tom Lees was the difference between the sides.

Bannan is without doubt Wednesday’s most creative spark.
The midfielder tops the assist charts with four, while his average of 1.6 key passes per Championship encounter is twice as good as Wednesday next highest – Kadeem Harris with 0.8.
Bannan was Wednesday’s best player at Watford, taking 86 touches and playing two key passes while averaging an impressive 85.5% pass accuracy rate.
The Owls have managed to extend the former Aston Villa man’s contract beyond this season, but a relegation to League One could put his future at Hillsborough in jeopardy.
