Here is our predicted starting line-up ahead of Sheffield Wednesday’s meeting with Plymouth Argyle.
Sheffield Wednesday will be eager to continue their impressive form this evening as they host Plymouth Argyle in the Championship.
The Owls have won four of their last five games and have kept three clean sheets, leaving them just three points away from safety.
Plymouth’s recent results will give the hosts some hope, with the Pilgrims winning only one of their last seven games in all competitions.
However, their away form has improved recently, beating Swansea and Middlesbrough in their last three outings. Prior to that, they hadn’t won a single game on the road.
Ian Foster’s side will be hoping to do the double over the Owls though, having thrashed them 3-0 in October. Danny Rohl‘s side have only won two of the last eight meetings, though they are unbeaten in the last three at Hillsborough.
Plymouth have star man Morgan Whittaker who will be looking to make the difference, having already netted 17 goals this term. Ryan Hardie has suffered an injury scare, though could well continue in the starting line-up tonight.
Here is Sheffield Wednesday’s predicted line-up…
Predicted Sheffield Wednesday XI
James Beadle took Cameron Dawson’s place in goal due to injury and has remained the number one choice for their last eight games, picking up four clean sheets. The youngster will undoubtedly keep his place this evening.
Pol Valentin will start at right-back after really impressing in recent months, despite a difficult start following his move from Sporting Gijon.

A back five has really worked for Sheffield Wednesday and they are likely to stick with the same formation, though their busy schedule could result in a few changes to allow some players a rest.
Dominic Iorfa could come back into the team after picking up an assist against Rotherham, three months after he was forced off with an injury against Blackburn Rovers.
Sheffield Wednesday ‘colossus‘ Di’Shon Bernard may also make his return following his red card last month, while it is hard to predict who will drop to the bench in their place. We could see Liam Palmer and Akin Famewo rested, with the former likely to start against Leeds United on Friday.
Marvin Johnson keeps his place on the left after being named in the Championship Team of the Week.
Barry Bannan starts his 24th consecutive game in the Championship, while we could see Will Vaulks given a rest ahead of the meeting with Leeds. Momo Diaby could make his first start in almost a month, having been an unused substitute against The Millers.

Ian Poveda has been undroppable since arriving at Hillsborough and will keep his place on the right, while Anthony Musaba will be looking for only his second goal of 2024.
Ike Ugbo could make it four games on the bounce in which he has scored, spearheading a very confident attack this evening.
