Some Sheffield Wednesday supporters have reacted on Twitter to Isaiah Brown’s apology following the 2-1 defeat at home to Rotherham United.
The Owls headed into the Yorkshire derby with aspirations of picking up all three points.
Rotherham took the lead through Matt Smith. However, the Millers striker was later red-carded and the Owls hit back ten minutes from time via an own goal.
New Owls boss Darren Moore sensed victory, and both Jack Marriott and Jordan Rhodes entered the field as the hosts pushed for all three points against a weary looking Rotherham.

But with less than a minute left on the clock, Brown failed to beat the first man from a corner and Rotherham broke down the other end with Freddie Ladapo scoring a stunning 25-yard winner.
Brown apologised on social media after the game with some supporters reacting to his tweet.
Not your fault. Maybe it was a poor corner, but they still then had to maraud up the other end, past 10 of your colleagues, with one player fewer, and it was a stunning winning goal, let’s be honest. League One here we come….

Think everyone’s frustration got took out on this lad tonight. Yes we know the corner wasn’t good enough but at least he’s got the balls to come out and apologise (many others wouldn’t). It shows he cares, up at 1am thinking about it. C’mon WAWAW. #swfc

Fair play on apologising as it was your error for the goal 100%. However I can’t let you claim it hurts you as much as it hurts us. You’re on loan from Chelsea and will forget us next season whilst we’re paying top dollar to watch Swindon Town line up 6-4-0 at Hillsborough

Fair enough Izzy. We all make mistakes and it takes a big man to say so! 👏

there was 90 other minutes can’t blame one person for a team proformance, yes the corner wasn’t good enough but maybe we could of done more to prevent the build up, and the other 90 we no where near enough

Fair play for apologising. I think overall we deserved to win the game and too many of our fans are overlooking the general improvement in the performance to slate players. It just doesn’t help anyone to be having a go at players, you need our encouragement to keep going. WAWAW

If everyone who delivered a bad corner apologised afterwards on twitter, twitter would be even more boring than it is now. You deserve better IZzy

Brown has struggled to get going at Hillsborough following his loan move last summer.
The 24-year-old attacker has made 18 Championship appearances but only four starts, posting just one assist in the opening day 2-0 win at Cardiff City.
Brown isn’t the only Owls player who has underachieved this season. Going forward, the team has struggled for creativity and goals despite a number of attacking options.
The defeat to Rotherham leaves Wednesday seven points adrift of safety.
It will now take some turn of events for the Owls to preserve their Championship status.
