Some Sheffield Wednesday supporters have taken to Twitter to criticise the performance of some first team members after the 4-0 U23 defeat to Sheffield United.
The Owls faced the Blades in an U23 encounter at Middlewood Road.
Wednesday selected several first team members in a bid to bolster their fitness levels, with Andre Green, Izzy Brown, Kadeem Harris, Elias Kachunga and Matt Penney all starting.
But it was an afternoon to forget as the Owls slumped to a 4-0 defeat.

Taking to Twitter after the game, many Owls fans singled out Brown for criticism following his dismissal while pointing towards a bleak future following the heavy defeat.
dunno what happened to Izzy, he was looking great 3-4 years back

Izzy just go back to Chelsea now. Re evaluate if you really want this, because this at the minute is just getting embarrassing

Well that could have gone better 🤪

Embarrassing with 5 first team players. Brown needs his contract terminating early.

Brown joined Wednesday last summer on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
The 24-year-old has shown great potential in the past, helping Huddersfield Town to promotion back in the 2016-17 campaign with five goals in 21 appearances.
But the Chelsea loanee has really struggled this season at Hillsborough, making just four Championship starts while playing just ten minutes under new boss Darren Moore.
In a bid to show what he can do for the U23s, Brown failed to make the right impression. He will feel he needs a fresh start elsewhere.
Wednesday will hope the game serves to improve fitness levels of some and keep them ticking over, as aside from that, there certainly weren’t many other positives to take out of it.
