Sheffield Wednesday host QPR in the Championship this weekend, in what is a huge game at the foot of the table.
Sheffield Wednesday return to Hillsborough after a 3-1 defeat away at Norwich City in midweek.
The defeat is a bit of a reality check for Wednesday who saw a three-game unbeaten run come to an end at Carrow Road, with eight points still the gap between them and safety.
QPR are a place above the Owls and now just a point from safety after going four games unbeaten, winning three of those with new boss Marti Cifuentes impressing so far.
The last time these two teams met at Hillsborough was back in October 2020 with the game ending 1-1.

Di’Shon Bernard back for Sheffield Wednesday
Di’Shon Bernard was left out of the XI against Norwich City in what was a surprise decision, given Bernard’s recent strong form alongside Bambo Diaby in the middle of defence.
Michael Ihiekwe came in for a rare start and after a steady first half, he had a uninspiring second, with many thinking he could’ve done more to prevent Norwich’s third goal.
With Bernard rested and Wednesday back at home, expect Bernard to come back into the XI this weekend.
Pol Valentin comes in for Liam Palmer
Liam Palmer has now started the last two at right-back following the injury to Dominic Iorfa against Blackburn Rovers earlier the month.
He’s a steady and experienced option to come into the XI, but for many, Palmer is past his best, and he too came under scrutiny for Norwich’s third.
Pol Valentin replaced him late in the game and with Rohl not afraid to change things up and give players chances, the 26-year-old Valentin could well be in line for a rare start under the new boss against QPR.
John Buckley given a rare start under Rohl
George Byers’ role in the midfield is a strange one.
He seems to be tasked with simply moving the ball along, with Will Vaulks doing the bulk of the tackling and Barry Bannan the bulk of the long-range, or more attacking passing.
Byers looks like he’s put in the XI to keep things ticking along, and he does it well, albeit without doing anything too exciting.
John Buckley came off the bench against Norwich City after not featuring in the previous two games and he showed a bit of energy and determination too.
With January approaching and Buckley’s future uncertain, Rohl might well fancy giving Buckley a run out and seeing what he can offer.
