Former Sheffield Wednesday boss Xisco Munoz has landed his next managerial gig after leaving Hillsborough in October.
Sheffield Wednesday parted ways with Darren Moore in the summer, bringing in ex-Watford boss Munoz.
But it proved to be a torrid spell in South Yorkshire for Munoz who won none of his 12 games in charge, drawing just four and leaving the club in last place of the Championship table.
Danny Rohl has since come in and guided the Owls to their first win of the season, making some very definite and evident changes in the process.
And this morning, it’s been reported that Munoz has landed his next managerial role, with Slovakian top flight outfit FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda taking a gamble on the 43-year-old, as per The Star.
Munoz received widespread criticism during his Sheffield Wednesday tenure, with former Owls favourite Miguel Llera labelling his style of play as ‘shocking’.
Who are FC DAC 1904?
FC DAC 1904 currently play in the Slovakian top flight league, or the Niké Liga.
The club has won the top flight once and the Slovak cup once as well, with the club qualifying for this season’s Europa Conference League after a 2nd place finish last time round.
They were knocked out of at the qualifying stages earlier in the summer and currently sit in 6th place of the table after a poor start to the 2023/24 campaign.

Levels to this game…
Munoz should never have been given the Sheffield Wednesday job, and seeing him now move to the Slovakian top flight shows the levels of quality between he and Rohl, for example.
Rohl should never have been overlooked in the summer and now he’s playing catch up with this poor set of players that was put together during Munoz’s tenure.
Of course, Munoz’s appointment lies with owner Dejphon Chansiri.
Whilst he deserves slight credit for the appointment of Rohl and the subsequent putting together of a strong-looking backroom team, this current predicament could well have been avoided if Munoz wasn’t brought in in the first place.
How he beat the likes of Rohl to the job remain to be seen. But, and without any disrespect to the Slovakian league, Munoz may well fare better in that division than he did in England as it’ll certainly be a drop in quality.
Sheffield Wednesday return to Championship action vs Birmingham City this weekend.
