Sheffield Wednesday boss Xisco Munoz has delivered an update on Momo Diaby. The player hasn’t played in the last four matches after picking up an injury earlier in the season.
Diaby checked in at Hillsborough shortly after the season had started. He signed for the club on a season-long loan from Portuguese outfit Portimonense.
The player managed just 65 minutes of a 1-0 defeat to Preston in August before being withdrawn through injury. He’s not played since but it could be good news as far as the problem is concerned.
Diaby typically operates as a defensive midfielder. As a result, Wednesday would dearly love to have him back in the near future and perhaps he isn’t far away.
Munoz told Yorkshire Live: “We will see about him. He’s in a good way. I don’t like speaking about player injuries because sometimes it is personal. If he can do it (recovery) okay but if not we will see. We wish him all the best about this situation.”

This answer is a little bit inconclusive to a certain degree. It’s not really clear when he will return and it looks as though the Owls might have to wait and see for a little while longer.
Diaby can be a useful player if he can return from his injury problem. Munoz will hope to have him back sooner rather than later, with injury problems starting to stack up.
The player can prove ideal in the middle of the park. He’s a defence-minded option and one thing Wednesday are doing at the moment is conceding far too many goals.
Hopefully, Diaby can prove himself during his rehabilitation. If he does that, it looks as though Munoz will still see him being an important part of his Wednesday squad.
