The Swans have lost just one of their last five, moving up into 15th place of the table and now eight points ahead of Wednesday in 23rd.
Sheffield Wednesday lost 6-0 at home to Ipswich Town last time out, leaving them with back-to-back defeats going into the international break.
And history dictates that the Owls are in store for another tough game this weekend; Wednesday have only played Swansea 13 times with the first clash coming in 2008.
Alarmingly, Wednesday have only ever beaten Swansea once; at Hillsborough in 2019 where Steven Fletcher scored a ‘stunning’ overhead-kick in what was a 3-1 win.

Alongside Bannan in midfield was another cult favourite in Sam Hutchinson. Following his return to Wednesday during the 2020/21 season, he’s now at Reading, but injury has kept him out.
Adam Reach
Adam Reach bagged two goals on this day. The now 31-year-old gave Owls fans plenty of memories and recorded 15 goal contributions in the Championship during the 2018/19 season. He now plays for West Brom.
Steven Fletcher
Now with Wrexham in League Two, Fletcher scored one of his 11 Championship goals for the 2018/19 season in this game, with eight in 26 league outings for the Dragons so far this term.
Lucas Joao was a Sheffield Wednesday favourite
Yet another iconic Wednesday name. The Angolan international netted 10 Championship goals this season, later going on to be prolific for Reading. After a spell in China last year, the 30-year-old now plays for Umm-Sala in Qatar.
