Nearly three weeks after he arrived at Hillsborough from Queens Park Rangers, Massimo Luongo made his first start for Sheffield Wednesday.

Luongo helped a much-changed Wednesday side to a 1-0 win against Rotherham United in the League Cup second round last night.

He was among the Owls’ star performers at the New York Stadium (see Nancy Frostick’s tweet below).

And that has led some Wednesday supporters to call for the Australian midfielder to start their side’s next league game – which just so happens to be against his former employers QPR.

This is what they are saying on Twitter…

The Sheffield Wednesday caretaker manager Lee Bullen could be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing which midfielder make his QPR eleven.

His preferred trio of Sam Hutchinson, Barry Bannan and Kieran Lee should all be fit for the R’s Hillsborough visit, with Luongo and Joey Pelupessy waiting in the wings.

Luongo spent four years at QPR, during which time he scored or made 26 goals in 152 games.

Who should make Sheffield Wednesday’s midfield on Saturday?
