The Sheffield Wednesday chairman, Dejphon Chansiri, will host ‘an open fans’ forum’ later this month.
The meeting, which takes place on Thursday, 20th December at 7pm, is the first of its kind in more than four months.
Plenty has happened since then, however, and Wednesday’s announcement arrives at a time when disillusionment is widespread throughout the Owls’ fanbase.
Despite a brief venture into the Championship’s top six in the early autumn, Jos Luhukay’s side have lost six out of eight since then and sit 16th in the standings – which, according to some stats, is an over-achievement.
And pressure is understandably mounting on Luhukay, whose future will be high on the agenda if he’s still in charge come the 20th.
But is there anything else that those of a Sheffield Wednesday persuasion want addressing?
This is how they’re responding to the Owls’ announcement on Twitter…
An excellent idea. Will the new manager be in place?

Should be lively- hope it’s to unveil our new manager
— Paul Simpson (@paulsimpson986) December 4, 2018
The delay in this forum is so that he can announce a new manager which the board are frantically scrambling to find. There is no way anyone would put themselves in front of angry fans without a positive aspect, well let’s hope so. Nathan Jones of Luton town. Great young manager

New manager in place for this 100 percent so he can talk about the new vision

Hopefully it will coincide with announcing a new manager & releasing players with passion from exile #swfc

The only problem I have with the chairman is that he won’t sack Jos! Other than that he’s been a good chairman and it’s not his fault our recruitment has been shoddy – all he can do is make sure it’s better moving forward by making sure he takes advise from better people

tbh love chansiri……but forum pointless cos at the minute there is but 1 issue and that’s when is that clueless clown jos leaving our club!! if he’s not already gone all shit will break loose…….if he’s picked it to announce his new boss well ……..

First of all I hope that Mr. Chansiri is given the respect he deserves.I just hope that fans behave in a civilised way when putting across their points of view.I personally think its time for Jos to go.Lets just pull together and try and keep in the Championship and go forward

First question has to be ‘can you simply not afford to sack/replace Jos?’
If he answers that honestly, fair play to him
— Richard Plank (@plankorama) December 4, 2018
Guess Jos will be gone by the 20th December then.
— Butlins McCarthy (@dbainestoronto) December 4, 2018
He surely wouldn’t do this without having a plan to replace Jos before the 20th. #swfc
