The Sheffield Wednesday chairman, Dejphon Chansiri, will host ‘an open fans’ forum’ later this month.

The meeting, which takes place on Thursday, 20th December at 7pm, is the first of its kind in more than four months.

Plenty has happened since then, however, and Wednesday’s announcement arrives at a time when disillusionment is widespread throughout the Owls’ fanbase.

Despite a brief venture into the Championship’s top six in the early autumn, Jos Luhukay’s side have lost six out of eight since then and sit 16th in the standings – which, according to some stats, is an over-achievement.

And pressure is understandably mounting on Luhukay, whose future will be high on the agenda if he’s still in charge come the 20th.
