Sheffield Wednesday host Huddersfield Town in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Sheffield Wednesday welcome Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town to Hillsborough tomorrow, and a familiar face in former boss Darren Moore.
Moore left his post at Hillsborough in the summer and late replaced Neil Warnock at Huddersfield Town, with Moore having drawn two and lost one of his opening three games in charge.
As for Wednesday, they go into this one under the temporary guide of Neil Thompson.
He steps in after Xisco Munoz was sacked in the week, with the Owls winless after the opening 10 games of the 2023/24 Championship campaign, and sitting in last place of the table.
And offering his verdict on tomorrow’s game, Sky Sports pundit and former Wednesday midfielder David Prutton wrote:
“Sheffield Wednesday have parted company with Xisco Munoz, and it didn’t come as a huge surprise after such a dreadful opening to the season. Two points from 10 games will get any manager sacked in this league.
“Huddersfield need to bounce back after their thumping at Birmingham in midweek. Darren Moore wouldn’t say it out loud, but inside he’ll be very keen to get a result over his old side. I think he will as well.”
Prutton predicts a 1-0 win for Huddersfield Town.

This is such an interesting game for so many reasons.
Not only the Moore factor, but judging how Wednesday might line up under Thompson after Munoz’s terrible reign came to an end.
Expect a much different line up. Expect Thompson to reinstate some of last season’s key players and expect a much more hardened performance from the Owls, who’ll be desperate not to lose against their former boss.
Moore though will also be desperate not to lose.
His Huddersfield Town side put a good run of form together before losing 4-1 to Birmingham City in midweek, and with Moore having great knowledge of the bulk of these Wednesday players, it could really play into his favour.
The game kicks off at 3pm tomorrow.
