Sky Sports pundit and former Sheffield Wednesday man David Prutton has predicted a 1-0 win for the Owls at Hull City this weekend.
Sheffield Wednesday head to the Humber to face Hull City in the Championship this weekend. It’s their first away game under Xisco Munoz who’s so far overseen a home defeat v Southampton in the league, and a home win over Stockport County in the Carabao Cup.
The Owls showed a bit of promise in their season opener. They faced a strong Southampton side but managed to get on the scoresheet and managed to give their opponents a good game, despite a turbulent summer at the club.
This weekend’s game v Hull City is another tough, but perhaps more winnable game that the Southampton one – Hull lost their opening game v Norwich City before losing at home to Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup in midweek.
And it seems like Prutton is optimistic ahead of this one, predicting a 1-0 win for Wednsday.

Another tough game, but can Wednesday win?
After such a turbulent summer transfer window so far, Wednesday have perhaps started better than most expected them to.
There’s only been two games but in the Southampton game in particular, the Owls showed a lot of quality and against a weaker, albeit still strong Hull side this weekend, Sheffield Wednesday could get their first win of the Munoz era – as Prutton predicts.
Hull seem to be lacking a bit of confidence after a tough summer transfer window of their own. But in Liam Rosenior they have a good Championship boss of their own and they’ll be looking to take advantage of a new-look Wednesday side and get their first win too.
The game kicks off at 3pm on Saturday.
