Sheffield Wednesday suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Leeds United on Friday night, though the Owls had their moments.
Sheffield Wednesday, immediately after kick off, saw themselves move out of the drop zone for the first time under Danny Rohl.
It made for pleasant viewing for Owls fans, who would certainly have taken a point from the game at Hillsborough, and after the opening stages it looked like a draw was very possible
Sheffield Wednesday came close through Djeidi Gassama who saw his effort from close range pushed behind for a corner by Illan Meslier.
But then Patrick Bamford scored on the cusp of half-time, ultimately dealing Sheffield Wednesday a defeat on the night.
James Beadle save a highlight from Wednesday v Leeds
The second half was mostly Leeds United.
Going into half-time a goal behind certainly took the wind out of Wednesday sails, but they offered a slight comeback in the latter stages.
Arguably the highlight of the second half and maybe the game for Sheffield Wednesday was a fine save from James Beadle in the 60th minute.
The 19-year-old got down quickly and with a strong hand to deny Georginio Rutter who was bursting through on goal, with the save catching the attention of journalist Joe Crann:
Beadle becoming a top goalkeeper at Sheffield Wednesday
There were a few question marks over Beadle after his opening performances for Wednesday.
It looked as though the step up from League One football with Oxford United in the first half of the season, to Championship football was a bit too soon.
But he’s blossomed in the past few weeks.
Beadle kept four clean sheets in six games before Leeds, not only proving his worth as a good ball-player but as a shot-stopper too, as we saw with the save from Rutter.

He also offers a calming presence in goal which Cameron Dawson didn’t, with Beadle able to come out and collect crosses and corners, and not look overly-troubled.
Having a goalkeeper who Rohl can rely on is huge, especially for a team in Sheffield Wednesday’s position, and expect Beadle to play a huge role in the final run-in for the Owls.
Up next for Sheffield Wednesday is a trip to Ipswich Town next weekend.
Leeds leapfrogged the Tractor Boys with the win at Hillsborough, with Kieran McKenna’s side going up against Cardiff City on Saturday as they continue to push for promotion to the Premier League.
