Sheffield Wednesday go up against a very familiar face when they head to Huddersfield Town today.

And it would’ve been a game that saw Wednesday reunited with former boss Darren Moore who took charge of Town back in September, only to be relieved of his duties ahead of this weekend.
The 49-year-old won just three of his 23 games in charge of the Terriers who now sit in 21st place of the table compared to the Owls in 23rd.
A five-point gap is currently the difference, though that could be closed today. But one man that’ll be hoping the gap widens is former Sheffield Wednesday man Tom Lees.
The 33-year-old made 274 total appearances during a seven-year stint at Hillsborough, going on to play under seven different managers; Stuart Gray, Carlos Carvalhal, Jos Luhukay, Steve Bruce, Garry Monk, Tony Pulis, and Moore.
He was released at the end of the 2020/21 season and went on to join Huddersfield Town, having since made 113 total appearances for the club, with 21 in the Championship this season.

Since returning from injury, Lees hasn’t missed a single game for Huddersfield Town, playing in every game since the end of September.
And he’s started the vast majority of those, leading the Town defensive line as they battle hard against relegation.
Today, the experienced Lees looks set to face one of Bailey Cadamarteri or Ike Ugbo in what could be a key battle on the pitch.
Ugbo started vs Watford last time out and showed a few good glimpses, smashing one off the post but ultimately failing to get on the scoresheet.
Cadamarteri hasn’t scored in nine now and has started on the bench for two of the last four games; the 18-year-old remains a player with huge potential, but he’s failed to have much of an impact in recent weeks.
It remains to be seen who Rohl starts today. One or both will no doubt start up top and will also be tasked with scoring Sheffield Wednesday’s goals in the second half of this season.
It remains a very uphill battle for the Owls in this second half of the season and even more so after they failed to get a new striker on deadline day.
But Ian Poveda will bolster the attacking ranks and if fit and available, he could make an impact in today’s game which is a real relegation six-pointer for both sides.
