Sheffield Wednesday‘s most recent meeting with Norwich City is certainly one to forget, having lost 3-1 before Christmas.
In fact, their record against the Canaries is pretty poor, having failed to beat them at their last five attempts.
Their last victory over tonight’s opponents came in May 2018, when they thrashed Norwich 5-1 at Hillsborough.
It took Atdhe Nuhiu only 14 minutes to open the scoring with a far-post header, before Fernando Forestieri doubled their lead on the half hour mark.
Frederico Venancio added a third, before Nuhiu was handed his brace on a plate minutes later after the ball was spilled into his path, gifting him a simple tap-in.
Norwich then added a consolation goal seven minutes from time, but it didn’t end there.
Nuhiu finished off his ‘perfect hat-trick’ with an added-time penalty, gifting the Owls a comfortable 5-1 win.

It left Jos Luhukay’s side 15th in the Championship table, while the Kosovo international went onto sign a new contract with the club just days later.
It was the second time in four seasons that Nuhiu ended as Wednesday’s top goalscorer, and he went onto score a total of 50 goals and provided 27 assists in 277 games for the club.
The 34-year-old left Hillsborough for Cypriot outfit APOEL in 2020, and now plays in Austria with Rheindorf Altach.
Almost six years later, Wednesday will need to pick up another win against Norwich in their bid to avoid relegation.
