Sheffield Wednesday take Gabriel Otegbayo on trial
The Owls have been flying in the under-21 Professional Development League this season and are enjoying a push to actually win the league.
Now, Joe Crann from The Star claims that Wednesday are taking a closer look at defender Otegbayo following his release from Burnley.

He played yesterday as the young Owls defeated the Clarets 2-1 to keep up their slim hopes of winning the league.
Wednesday won the game thanks to goals from Adam Alimi-Adetoro and Mackenzie Maltby – with Otegbayo playing against the club he previously played for.
The Owls are doing well in the Professional Development League this season.
Yesterday’s win moves the team to within eight points of Birmingham who are top, although Wednesday have played two games less.
Who is Gabriel Otegbayo?
The talented 19-year-old signed for Burnley from Irish outfit Cobh Ramblers – the club famous for unearthing legendary Premier League midfielder Roy Keane.
Otegbayo is a 6ft 4in central defender and it would seem as though he’s going to be spending a little bit of time at the football club.
The teenager will be hoping to win himself a deal with Wednesday and the fact he’s been allowed to train with the club for a few weeks should give him some confidence.
Otegbayo has already played a handful of games for the under-21s and the fact that Wednesday under-21s have been winning games perhaps bodes well for the youngster.
