Huddersfield Town made the decision to sack former Sheffield Wednesday boss Darren Moore yesterday.

Darren Moore, 49, is once again on the market after being sacked by Huddersfield Town; just a week before they’re set to host Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.

The former centre-back has had a turbulent 12 months or so after guiding the Owls to promotion from League One via the play-offs, only to leave the club in a shock move right at the start of the summer.

He replaced Neil Warnock at Huddersfield Town in September last year but in 23 games in charge, he only won three, leaving with a win percentage of just 13.04% compared to his 51.16% win percentage during a two-year stint as Sheffield Wednesday boss.

Moore was a well-liked manager at Sheffield Wednesday and he’ll be remembered fondly after guiding the Owls out of League One.

But the arrival of Danny Rohl has perhaps shone a light on Moore’s shortcomings as a manager, especially at Championship level, and even more so after his Huddersfield Town exit.
