Henrik Pedersen believes that Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl has recently made a brilliant decision.
The Owls claimed a battling 1-1 draw against league-leaders Leicester last night, with Jeff Hendrick rescuing a point.
Pedersen arrived at Hillsborough alongside Rohl and is now working as an assistant head coach.
He’s been discussing his time at Wednesday so far in detail and he’s spoken about one particular decision that Rohl has made.
Pedersen praised Rohl for one Wednesday decision
The 45-year-old has spent a lot of time working as a coach or a manager. He was with Red Bull Salzburg for two years between 2012 and 2014 and has worked for a number of lesser clubs.
One man who has recently stepped up to work with Rohl is Neil Thompson. The man who took caretaker charge before the German arrived is now part of the backroom team.

Pederson thinks that decision has proved a good one, telling Yorkshire Live: “I think it was a fantastic choice by Danny. Neil’s got so much knowledge of the young guys and part of our strategy is to integrate some of these and make the team younger.
“You can see Danny is open to this and I think it was natural to integrate him. Besides his knowledge, Neil is a fantastic human.”
Thompson deserves first-team gig
The man who used to manage the under-21s oversaw a 0-0 draw for Wednesday against Huddersfield earlier in the 2023/24 campaign.
He knows Sheffield Wednesday like the back of his hand and he deserves this chance to form part of Rohl’s backroom team.
It does make sense to have him on board. He knows the club’s youngsters extremely well and clearly, the plan is to integrate some of these lads.
Thompson has been at Wednesday since 2020 and he will surely become an asset to the first-team coaching staff.
