Sheffield Wednesday defeated Stoke City yesterday and afterwards, Bailey Cadamarteri dropped a huge hint about his future.
The Owls claimed a second successive win for the first time this season and climbed off the foot of the table.
Wednesday were brilliant throughout the contest and the late goal from Anthony Musaba sent the travelling fans into delirium.
Cadamarteri was handed another start for Wednesday at the Bet365 Stadium, playing for 58 minutes of the contest.
He wasn’t in the goals again yesterday and in truth, he will have better games than he had against Stoke.
Who Scored shows that he didn’t have a shot yesterday and he only had 17 touches of the ball.
Wednesday striker drops hint over future
It’s great that Cadamarteri is now getting opportunities in the team but Wednesday need to get him tied to a new contract.
However, they shouldn’t spend too much time fretting over the situation, with Cadamarteri very relaxed.

Shortly after Wednesday had defeated Stoke, the striker took to X to ease any fears that the fan base might have.
One fan posted a gif urging him to sign a new deal and Cadamarteri was quick to reply to the post.
He said: “No one needs to worry, I’m not going anywhere. It will be sorted next week.”
Cadamarteri is the future at Wednesday
The talented striker has been brilliant for the under-21s this season but that now looks to be behind him.
Cadamarteri is now a full member of Danny Rohl’s squad and he scored his first Wednesday goal last weekend.
There will be more to come from the teenager and in Rohl he might have found the perfect manager for his development.
Cadamarteri is energetic, physical and perhaps crucially he knows where the back of the net is.
Now, it’s all about getting more minutes under his belt and he does appear to be the first choice at the moment.
At 18, there is so much potential to unlock and it will be a massive relief for Wednesday fans to hear that Cadamarteri will have his future secured this week.
