Sheffield Wednesday is a ‘possible’ location for Liverpool youngster Luke Chambers this summer, reports The Athletic.
Chambers, 19, is a product of the Liverpool youth academy. He’s been with the club since 2010 and spent time on loan at Kilmarnock last time out, where he made 14 appearances in the Scottish Premiership, earning praise form boss Derek McInnes.
But The Athletic are now reporting that Chambers is wanted on loan by Sheffield Wednesday and Championship rivals Watford, whilst Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen are also interested in a possible move for the left-back.
Wednesday is said to be a ‘possible destination’ for Chambers who’s yet to make his senior debut for Liverpool, but the youngster has represented England at U15, U16, U18, and U19 level.
Sheffield Wednesday have so far signed Reece James on a permanent deal from Blackpool this summer, with Xisco Munoz having been installed as the club’s new boss following Darren Moore’s shock exit last month.

Chambers certainly looks like a talent and it’s no surprise to see this amount of interest in him. But as per The Athletic, Wednesday just looks like a possible option for Chambers and Liverpool right now.
Whether game time at Leverkusen would be readily-available remains to be seen, but Watford could prove to be an attractive destination.
The Owls only really have one option at left back in James and so he and Chambers could share the responsibility next season, giving Munoz two very solid options in that position.
If Munoz can pull this one off, it would be a very shrewd signing.
