Sheffield Wednesday’s hopes of signing Eddie Nkeitah on loan from Arsenal could be scuppered by interest from Premier League clubs.
The Athletic reported earlier this week that Nketiah was set to decide imminently whether to spend the rest of this season at Wednesday, Nottingham Forest or Bristol City.
But according to Bristol Live, Aston Villa are now considering a move for the 20-year-old after they lost Wesley Moraes for the rest of the campaign.
And the website claims Norwich City have also declared an interest, and ‘may even lead the race’, with its sources believing he could now head to Carrow Road.
A Premier League move would undoubtedly appeal to Nketiah, who was pictured training with Arsenal’s first team on Thursday.

But having been recalled from a loan spell at Leeds United over a lack of playing time, the England Under-21 international – not to mention Arsenal – may be cautious about another move that could lead to his opportunities being limited.
And Aston Villa could be his best bet, with Teemu Pukki having spent the first half of the season as Norwich’s starting lone striker.

Wednesday have been strongly linked with their former loanee, Connor Wickham, over the past 24 hours.
But having lost their top scorer, Steven Fletcher, for eight-to-10 weeks with a knee injury, the Owls could be in the market for more than one new centre-forward this month.
