Sheffield Wednesday want to bring Bailey Peacock-Farrell back to Hillsborough this summer. Darren Moore had the goalkeeper on loan during the 2021/22 campaign as the Owls missed out on promotion.
Burnley won promotion to the Premier League last season. As a result, they will target some new players and a new stopper could see Peacock-Farrell shunted down the pecking order.
Vincent Kompany used Peacock-Farrell on 16 occasions during 2022/23. He was largely considered as a backup option to Arijanet Muric and now he could be allowed to leave the Clarets.
Wednesday will definitely be targeting a new goalkeeper this summer. David Stockdale has been released at the end of his contract and that leaves Cameron Dawson as the only senior stopper in the ranks.
Now, Moore is going to try and re-sign Peacock-Farrell ahead of the new campaign. The custodian will want to be playing regularly next season as he bids to keep his place in the Northern Ireland team.

The talented stopper made 47 appearances for Wednesday during his one season at the club. He kept 17 clean sheets and only actually conceded 49 times across the entire campaign.
The report from The Sun claims that Wednesday will try and take the player on loan. He will be out of contract during the summer of 2024, however, so a permanent move isn’t completely out of the question.
Wednesday want Peacock-Farrell
This would be a very popular addition to the ranks in the eyes of the Wednesday supporters. Peacock-Farrell was a firm fan favourite during his season at the club and a return would go down a treat.
It’s fair to say that the 26-year-old probably would be an upgrade on Dawson between the posts. However, the current Wednesday man might feel hard done by if he is replaced following a fine season with the Owls.
Peacock-Farrell earns £17,000-a-week at Turf Moor. As a result, Wednesday would find signing him very realistic and ultimately they could be about to make their move for the star man.
