Sheffield Wednesday have recently been linked with a move for PSG youngster Djeidi Gassama.
Reports in France this week have credited Sheffield Wednesday and Championship rivals Hull City with an interest in the 19-year-old Gassama.
But Hull Live have since commented on the link, saying that Gassama is not a player of interest to the Tigers, potentially handing a boost to Xisco Munoz’s side.
So far this summer, Sheffield Wednesday have signed Reece James from Blackpool. But Munoz needs plenty more and soon, with the start of the 2023/24 season just around the corner.
Munoz has suggested that some player signigns could be close, with a new goalkeeper looking like a key priority – the likes of Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Axel Werner have been linked so far this summer.

Gassama coming to Sheffield Wednesday?
There was another unnamed club linked alongside Gassama at the same time as Sheffield Wednesday and Hull, but Hull being out of the race certainly comes as a boost for the Owls.
Whether their interest in Gassama is genuine remains to be seen, and whether or not Gassama would favour a move to South Yorkshire remains likewise.
But it’s certainly an exciting link and hopefully it’s a sign of things to come this summer.
The best options on the free market may have been taken already this summer and so the Owls may need to turn their attention to the overseas markets.
Players like Gssama look to have a lot of potential but at a big club like PSG, game time is always going to be hard to come by.
Sheffield Wednesday return to England to face Doncaster Rovers in a pre-season friendly next week.
