According to The Telegraph, four Championship clubs are eyeing up a move for Sheffield Wednesday ace Kadeem Harris.
Indeed, Reading, Watford, Stoke and Middlesbrough are all reportedly keeping tabs on Harris’ situation as his contract ticks towards expiry this summer.
Harris is one of a number of players who may be free to leave Hillsborough at the end of the season, and it doesn’t seem as though he’s short of suitors.
The 27-year-old has been an important player for Wednesday this season, starting no fewer than 25 league games in a plethora of different positions.
Wednesday will have to offer him a new deal if he is to stay at the club, but with relegation potentially on the horizon for the Owls, you can understand why pen hasn’t been put to paper yet.
Even if Wednesday stay up, Harris may opt to move on. After all, each of the teams that are reportedly tracking him are in the race for the playoffs at the moment.
Sadly, Harris may not be the only player leaving on a free this summer. A number of first-teamers are out of contract at the end of the season, while Liam Shaw has reportedly already negotiated a move to Celtic this summer.
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on between now and the end of the season.
