One of the physios brought to Sheffield Wednesday in controversial circumstances two years ago has left for Wolverhampton Wanderers, The Star understands.
Carlos Sales was added to Carlos Carvalhal’s backroom team alongside Antonio Quintela after an injury-hit 2016/17 season which saw physios Paul Smith, Stephen Gilpin and David Henderson dismissed.
But the Owls are now looking for Sales’ replacement, according to The Star.
If Sales is indeed Wolves-bound, he will join a backroom team led by his fellow Portuguese, Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Star claims Quintela has remained employed by Sheffield Wednesday, and is present at the club’s Portugal training camp, alongside the former Owls academy physio, Charlie Baker.
Who takes Sales’ place at Wednesday remains to be seen, although the new boss at Hillsborough, Steve Bruce, is not short of top contacts.
The former Manchester United defender has already added Steve Agnew, Stephen Clemence, David Downes, Dean Hughes and Tony Strudwick to his support network since arriving in the Steel City at the start of 2019.
Premier League Wolves will also compete at Europa League level this coming campaign.
