According to a report by Voetbal International, some Championship clubs have already expressed their interest in Joey Pelupessy to his management.
The midfielder’s contract is up in the summer, and with the Owls hesitant to open talks with any of their players until their league status is confirmed, Pelupessy has understandably attracted interest.
The Dutchman hasn’t always been the most popular player at Hillsborough, but he’s stepped up at times this term, seemingly catching the eye of some Championship sides.

It’s not just teams in England who are keen on the midfielder either, FC Groningen are reportedly keen on bringing him in, while an unnamed team from Turkey are also reportedly admiring him.
Whether or not a move away from Hillsborough comes to fruition for Pelupessy remains to be seen, but we can’t help but feel that this is heavily dependant on the Owls’ relegation.
Indeed, the report states that Wednesday are keen to keep hold of the Dutchman, but relegation to League One would mean that the Owls have to trim the fat in their squad, and with Pelupessy seemingly having a number of options, it wouldn’t be a shock to see him go.
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming months.
