Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl has bemoaned something which happened during Friday’s 2-0 reverse to Leeds United.

The head coach was speaking to Leeds Live after the game.

So, what aspect of the game was it that left Wednesday boss Rohl frustrated? Let’s take a closer look…

Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl bemoans referee Sam Allison

Well, it would appear as though the Owls head coach wasn’t overly impressed with the efforts of the match referee.

Allison played five minutes extra time at the end of the first half – despite only four going up on the board.

Patrick Bamford opened the scoring in the extra minute of added time and it’s left Rohl somewhat annoyed.

He told Leeds Live: “It was a key point. Of course, he showed four minutes and then it was four minutes more moment.

“I’m really not happy about this moment. We were hoping to go in at half-time zero-zero.

“Maybe a decision against us and today we can speak about this. This is football, we just have to take it.”

Wednesday must regroup quickly

This is merely a bump in the road for Wednesday as they look to remain in the Championship and the team can’t now lose focus.

The Owls need to stay together and be prepared for the next challenge in their quest against survival.

Rohl is the right man for the Wednesday job and the transformation since he came to the club has been there for all to see.

Wednesday were very unfortunate to concede in stoppage time on Friday and ultimately the team will have to learn some harsh lessons.

The Owls can’t dwell for too long on this error and now their focus must go on future endeavours as the team bids to stay in the Championship.
