Sheffield Wednesday defender Pol Valentin has raved about Danny Rohl after Saturday’s 2-1 win over Bristol City at Hillsborough.

The Owls star has been speaking with The Star.

So, what has the Spaniard said about Wednesday’s head coach Rohl? Let’s take a closer look…

What Pol Valentin has said about Sheffield Wednesday head coach Danny Rohl

Well, it would appear that the 27-year-old and his Wednesday teammates are firmly behind Rohl.

The turnaround that Wednesday have already achieved under the German manager is pretty remarkable.

It took the Owls until October to claim a win this season but are now just three points adrift of a position of safety.

Next up for Wednesday is rock-bottom outfit Rotherham and Valentin has suggested that everyone is behind Rohl.

He told The Star: “The team is focused on what we need to do, and I think we’ll get out of relegation because the team believes a lot in Danny and all the things that we’re doing every day. I think we’ll change our situation.”

Valentin now looking integral to Owls fortunes

It’s taken some time but Wednesday fans are now starting to see the very best of Valentin.

The defender joined Wednesday from Sporting Gijon in the summer and signed for an undisclosed transfer fee.

He’s now made 28 appearances for the Owls and in recent weeks he’s nailed down the right-back spot as his own.

Valentin will now hope to keep his place in the team as Wednesday go in search of Championship football again next season.

Rohl has already worked wonders and he deserves every ounce of praise that comes his way.

It’s nice to hear Valentin rave about the player and it would seem as though everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet.
