Sheffield Wednesday make the long journey down south to face Plymouth Argyle in the Championship tomorrow night.
Sheffield Wednesday take on last season’s League One title-winners Plymouth Argyle tomorrow night, with the Owls in store for a 10-hour round trip in what is Danny Rohl’s second game in charge.
The German coach oversaw a 1-0 defeat away at Watford last time out. Though fans saw definite signs of change and improvement compared to the first 11 games under Xisco Munoz.
Plymouth have experienced a dip in form of late; Steven Schumacher’s side find themselves in 21st place of the table and have won just one of their last seven now, drawing away at West Brom last weekend.
And giving his prediction for tomorrow’s game, Sky Sports pundit and former Wednesday man David Prutton wrote:
“Plymouth have slipped down the table to just above the relegation zone. This season has turned into more of a struggle than they may have been expecting, picking up just two points from four games since they hammered Norwich.
“Sheffield Wednesday, under new boss Danny Rohl, were beaten late and narrowly at Watford on Saturday. This is also a challenging trip, and I think it could be another fruitless one for the Owls.”

A first win at Sheffield Wednesday for Rohl?
Plymouth, like Watford, are another team out of form and low down in the Championship table. But, like Watford, they remain a team with a lot of firepower and against a lacklustre Wednesday side, Plymouth will be desperate for all three points.
It’ll be a very difficult night for both teams like Prutton says; Wednesday will perhaps set up not to lose but Rohl will still want his players to have a go at the game, so it’s a difficult one for Schumacher to prepare for.
Plymouth have a lot of technical and prolific players in their side and despite them being low down in the table, they’ve put in some decent performances in recent weeks.
This should be an entertaining game for both sets of fans, with kick off at 7:45pm tomorrow night.
