Sheffield Wednesday striker Lee Gregory has heaped praise on Anthony Musaba following his arrival at Hillsborough. The player checked in from Monaco and scored his first goal for the Owls against Mansfield in the Carabao Cup.
It’s now been an easy start to the 2023/24 campaign for Wednesday. They claimed their first point against Leeds on Saturday, drawing 0-0 and ending a run of four straight defeats in the Championship.

Musaba typically operates on the right wing. He has made three appearances in the second tier and he’s also started both of the club’s games in the Carabao Cup.
Gregory has been quizzed on the new boys during the international break. The experienced striker thinks all of the new players are settling in well and had some praise for Musaba.
He told Yorkshire Live: “That (the goal) will have his confidence the world of good. You can see he’s a very direct player.

“He’s a nice kid and has come into a new dressing room. Coming from abroad there is a language barrier so it is hard for him.
“He’s learning, he’s listening well and he’s doing his work.”
Gregory hails Wednesday newcomer Musaba
The 22-year-old does look like the type of player who can excite the fans. Xisco Munoz doesn’t really fancy him as a league starter just yet though and he will need to work hard.
It sounds as though the player is impressing his teammates though. As a hard worker, he’s doing half of the job and the fans will also buy into that element of his game.

Gregory scored his only Wednesday goal of the season in the opening match. He scored as the Owls were beaten 2-1 by Southampton at Hillsborough.
At 35, Gregory’s job this season is to be a soundboard for some of these younger players. He’s a leader in the camp and he still looks like he is an integral player during 2023/24.
