Sheffield Wednesday claimed a big three points yesterday, defeating QPR in the dying moments of the game. For John Buckley, journalist Joe Crann fears it could be a very serious problem.
Wednesday were largely impressive during yesterday’s game. They fell behind before the interval but roared back to score twice in the final 10 minutes of the Championship contest.
With Huddersfield only picking up a point against Millwall, Wednesday are now just six points adrift of safety and have some more winnable games to come.
Buckley injury could be serious
The man on loan from Blackburn came on as a substitute during the contest and was forced off. Now, Crann fears that the loan player could be out long-term.

Buckley has been in decent form for Wednesday and this would be a considerable blow. The man on loan at Hillsborough will now face an anxious wait to see what comes of the prognosis.
Crann said on Twitter: “Danny Rohl says that it’s too early for any prognosis, but I understand there are concerns that Buckley’s could be a long-term one.”
Buckley would be a massive loss for Wednesday
The 24-year-old has made 13 appearances for Wednesday but now Buckley faces a spell on the sidelines.
Wednesday need as many players as possible available for their fight against relegation and losing Buckley is a blow.
With January around the corner, it remains to be seen whether or not Buckley will now return to Blackburn and free up a space for another loan signing in January.
Buckley is a versatile performer and Rohl will miss his presence on the pitch. The challenge for Wednesday now is to find a player with similar qualities during the January window to replace Buckley.
It’s tough for Buckley given that he’s come to Wednesday to play football. He will be hoping to get some good news after yesterday and it will now be an anxious wait to discover exactly how long he will be out for.
