Joe Crann has delivered an update after Sheffield Wednesday decided not to give Dominic Iorfa a run in this afternoon’s under-21 game.
The Star reporter posted the latest bulletin on X earlier today.
So, what has Crann said after Wednesday defender Iorfa? Let’s take a closer look…
What Joe Crann has said about Sheffield Wednesday star Dominic Iorfa
Well, it would appear that Wednesday decided not to take the risk with the defender after all.
It was claimed yesterday that the player could well feature for the under-21s during their game against Barnsley.
However, the Owls had a change of plan and now he will seemingly continue to be missing when Wednesday play Bristol City this weekend.
Crann posted on X earlier today and it claimed that a U-turn had been made on Iorfa ahead of this afternoon’s match.
In our view, this looks like a wise move and clearly, people behind the scenes don’t believe Iorfa to be quite ready yet.
With Wednesday now within touching distance of safety, the team doesn’t need any further injury problems.
Iorfa can play big part during business end of the season
In our view, this is a positive piece of news and Wednesday shouldn’t be rushing the defender back.
Wednesday fans often claim Iorfa is the fastest man in Yorkshire and his pace is a top attribute of his.

The 28-year-old was integral as the Owls won promotion last season and he’s made 17 appearances during 2023/24.
Having him back out on the pitch today would have been useful but it’s not the most important thing at this stage.
Instead, it now gives the player a little bit more time to get himself right and hopefully, Danny Rohl doesn’t bring him back into the fold until he’s absolutely ready.
