Sheffield Wednesday have yet to make an official approach for the Lincoln City manager, Danny Cowley, according to the journalist Mark Whiley.
Wednesday have been strongly linked with a move for Cowley, along with his younger brother, Nicky, over the past 24 hours.
But speaking after Lincoln City’s 3-1 defeat at Doncaster Rovers shortly after the speculation emerged, the older sibling denied all knowledge.
And Whiley, who covers the League One side for The Lincolnshire Echo, posted the following tweet earlier on Wednesday, supporting Cowley’s claim.

The Cowley brothers have already turned down moves to West Bromwich Albion, Hull City and, more recently, Huddersfield Town, according to The Daily Mail.
