Sheffield Wednesday signed James Beadle this week and he’s been discussing his relationship with Sal Bibbo.

The 19-year-old has been speaking with The Star.

So, what has Beadle said about Bibbo after reuniting with him at Sheffield Wednesday this week? Let’s take a closer look…

What Beadle has said about Wednesday coach Bibbo

Well, it would appear as though the teenager is happy to be stepping up to the Championship to play for Wednesday.

The player has been on loan with Oxford for the first half of the 2023/24 campaign and made 28 appearances for them.

Now, he’s excited for a reunion with Bibbo after working with him at Brighton previously and he can’t wait to get going.

Beadle told The Star: “I know Sal really well from our time at Brighton. Sal did a lot for me, he really improved me as a goalkeeper and it’s great to be working with him again here at Wednesday.

“I had a really good time at Oxford but I think now is the time to take the next step up. I believe in myself and my ability and I’m really looking forward to testing myself.”

In our view, this is a really good signing for Wednesday. The club have completed the addition of a burgeoning talent and a player who has caught the eye playing in the EFL so far in his career.

Danny Rohl now has a conundrum between the posts

The signing of a new goalkeeper was probably required but it does now hand Wednesday boss Danny Rohl a bit of a headache.

Beadle arrives at the club on the back of arguably Cameron Dawson’s most defining game of the season in a Wednesday shirt.

He saved two penalties in the first 10 minutes of Saturday’s 4-0 win over Cardiff and it would perhaps be a harsh time to drop him.

Wednesday face Southampton on Saturday and some good form over Christmas has put the Owls within three points of safety.

Brighton won’t have loaned Beadle to a club where he wasn’t going to play and the ball is now in Rohl’s court ahead of this weekend.
