Jack Hunt has sent a message to the Sheffield Wednesday fans on Twitter.
Hunt made his second return to Hillsborough as a Bristol City player on Sunday, as the Owls claimed a 1-0 win over their rivals for a play-off place.
The 29-year-old, who was sold by Wednesday at the start of last season, came close to giving his side the lead early in the second half but saw his header cleared off the line by the player with whom he tussled throughout his Owls career, Liam Palmer.

He was withdrawn shortly afterwards, and found himself applauded off the pitch by all four sides of Wednesday’s home ground.

Sheffield Wednesday’s win was secured by an 85th-minute Barry Bannan penalty and moved them to third in the Championship standings ahead of their upcoming games against Stoke, Cardiff and Hull.
Hunt’s side, who have now failed to score on their last three visits to Wednesday, losing twice, remain eighth.
