Sheffield Wednesday posted a number of training photos on social media ahead of their game against Watford this weekend, and there was an unfamiliar face in the group.
The Owls have had a lot of success in giving chances to young players this term with Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide becoming two of the Yorkshire club’s most important players this term.
It seems as though a certain Josh Dawodu could be the next in line to get a chance for the first-team after he was pictured in first-team training this week.

The defender was snapped training with the first-team here, and it will be interesting to see whether or not a first-team debut follows.

Dawodu joined the Owls back in 2017, and before coming to Yorkshire he spent his youth on the books at Arsenal.
His profile on the club’s website states that he’s a cultured defender who boasts excellent game understanding and technical qualities, and if that description is accurate, he could be a real asset for Darren Moore’s team between now and the end of the season.
The Owls probably don’t need to take a risk in defence, but if Dawodu has been impressing in training, he may get a chance in the coming weeks.
