Sheffield Wednesday have seven games to save their season, and while things are looking bleak at the moment, one man has remained optimistic.
Indeed, club legend Carlton Palmer has taken to Twitter to deliver his verdict on his former team’s chances of staying up.
The former England midfielder claims that a win against QPR on Saturday would make it game on, predicting that 15 points will be enough to keep the Owls up.
Come on the #owls back to back wins and it’s game on . 15 points should be good enough to stay up regardless of other results 👊🏽

As much as we love the optimism from Palmer, 15 points is an absolutely massive target.
The Owls have picked up just 41 points all season, when you factor in the six-point deduction they had at the start of the campaign, so 15 from their next seven is a huge ask.
That’s five wins in seven games for a team that has won just 11 matches in 39, so you can see just how tough a task this is.
However, after the Yorkshire club’s 5-0 win against Cardiff last weekend, anyone would be a fool to write Wednesday off at this point, and if they play like that every week, Palmer’s 15-point target will start to look a lot more realistic.
