Sheffield Wednesday have a two week break before they return to action against Millwall.
The Owls will be desperate to turn things around after suffering three successive defeats in the Championship.
Danny Rohl will be working hard behind the scenes to drastically improve things during the international break ahead of their meeting with QPR.
The Sheffield Wednesday head coach has made very few changes to his starting line-up since the start of the season – sticking with a back four and making one or two tweaks each week.
It hasn’t worked so far though and he has now been urged to make one big change before they host QPR.

Rohl urged to go ‘back to basics’ at Sheffield Wednesday
Journalist Dom Howson wrote on X: “Interesting that Danny Röhl talked about the make up of his #SWFC team after their defeat at Millwall. Feels like a time to go back to basics and switch to three at the back. Bring Inglesson back into midfield to freshen things up. Play him alongside Bannan and S Charles.”
Wednesday played with three at the back for most of last season and it really seemed to work towards the end of the campaign as they picked up three clean sheets in their last six games.
Who would fit into a different formation?
Rohl changed things around this season though and it looks like it could be the wrong decision.
The Owls have really struggled at the back, while their new full-back additions seem to lack the defensive capability to handle the back four at the minute.
Rohl could look to bring in someone like Liam Palmer to firm up a back three and allow the full-backs to get further forward, perhaps even bringing in Marvin Johnson for Max Lowe to add more of a threat on the left.
If Wednesday went with a midfield trio then it would leave two up front, which is likely to see Jamal Lowe and Ike Ugbo form a partnership.
It’s a risk but definitely seems like one worth taking, especially given the lack of service from Anthony Musaba and Djeidi Gassama so far.
The pair have really struggled with their final product and should arguably be benched against QPR.
Rohl has plenty of time to figure out what can work against QPR and hopefully that involves making some serious changes to the starting line-up.
