Sheffield Wednesday go into their second game under new boss Danny Rohl this evening, with the Owls heading down to Plymouth Argyle.
Sheffield Wednesday lost their opening game under Rohl last weekend.
The Owls succumbed to a 1-0 defeat away at Watford but fans saw signs of change and signs of improvement under the 34-year-old German.
Still, Wednesday remain in 24th place of the Championship table and having yet to win in any of their opening 12 games this season.
Fans hope to see Rohl turn things around this season. But with a poor set of players put together by another manager, it certainly won’t be easy for Rohl.
And Dom Howson has urged fans to have realistic expectations of Rohl and Sheffield Wednesday this season, with the Yorkshire Live reporter adding:
“Their only aim this season should be to finish 21st. Anything more would be a huge bonus.”

Even finishing above 24th this season would be an improvement for Rohl and Sheffield Wednesday.
Nobody expects them to do anything at all this season. Few probably expect them to even get a win to their name given how poor they’ve been so far, but that could yet play into Wednesday’s hands.
They’ll be the underdogs in most every game they go into this season. They can play without pressure and Rohl can implement some new things, and there’s a sense that one win could give the Owls the confidence needed to go out and get more.
At the same time though, like Howson says, expectations need to be managed, and if Rohl can finish the season in 21st or above then it would be a monumental turnaround in form.
