Danny Rohl has dropped an ‘honest’ claim on Sheffield Wednesday’s ‘stressful’ form recently.
It has been over six months since Danny Rohl was appointed and Sheffield Wednesday are yet to step foot out of the relegation zone, though they did briefly come up for air last time out.
Liam Palmer’s opener against Stoke City saw them climb up to 21st place, before Luke Cundle equalised and left them back where they started.
The Owls have picked up 12 wins under Rohl and have looked a much better team than before he arrived, but their struggle for consistency and goals has left their future in the Championship in doubt.
Sheffield Wednesday have had plenty of chances to escape from the bottom three in recent weeks, but have dropped points to the likes of Stoke, Norwich and Swansea City.
Having previously looked on course to beat the drop, the Owls coach has now opened up on a ‘hard and stressful’ few weeks at Hillsborough.

Speaking to The Star, Rohl said: “I will be honest, the last weeks have been hard and stressful.
“You push every energy you have in your body out, you give this energy your voice. But this is normal, you invest so much work in this situation just to come to this point and now you want to make this step.
“Hopefully I can enjoy in the next weeks, then go to enjoy some time with my family and meet my friends in Germany but until that moment I will do everything. I will fight. There are short nights. It is not the time to look back now, it is about looking forward to the next four games. For now I keep going and doing everything for this club.”
Potential regulation shouldn’t tarnish his reputation
Danny Rohl is an ‘unbelievable’ coach and has done an exceptional job at Sheffield Wednesday, though their league position may not tell the true story.
It is extremely frustrating for the club and the fans, because we all know that if the 34-year-old had joined in the summer and had been given the whole transfer window to bring in his own players, this season could be ending very differently.
But Rohl has been given limited resources to work some sort of miracle in Sheffield, and it is no surprise that he is getting completely stressed out by it.
We all know what he’s capable of, but he is unable to do what he wants with some of these players, a limited budget and such a poor point tally upon his arrival.
It certainly won’t be Rohl’s fault if Wednesday are relegated and it will be even more frustrating if fans are forced to watch him succeed elsewhere if he decides to leave.
