It’s getting towards the time of the year when new contracts are handed out and Will Vaulks is busy giving Sheffield Wednesday a headache.

Will Vaulks deserves new Sheffield Wednesday contract
Well, in our view, Vaulks is going a long way to prove that he is deserving of a new deal at Hillsborough beyond this term.
Vaulks was impressive during the 26 minutes he spent on the pitch against Leeds and Who Scored showcased his impressive stats.
He won three tackles during his time on the pitch which proved the most of any Wednesday player, despite only making a cameo from the bench.
Vaulks finished with a pass success ratio of 72% from his 25 attempted passes and once again he tried to keep things simple.
At 30-years-old he still appears fit and he’s showcased more often than not this season that he’s still got what it takes at this level.
The Star reporter Joe Crann is a huge fan of Vaulks and earlier this season, he called him a ‘destroyer’ for his efforts in the middle of the park.
Vaulks would surely love to stay at Hillsborough
It’s hard to imagine that the midfielder would turn down the chance to remain at the football club beyond this season.
Vaulks has made 83 appearances for Wednesday since joining the club from Cardiff in 2022.
According to Salary Sport, Vaulks earns around £8,000-a-week and that doesn’t put him along with the highest-earning players at the club.
As a result, it makes sense to try and keep him at the club regardless of the division that Wednesday find themselves in next season.
Vaulks works tirelessly in the middle of the park and since he signed for the club he’s always been the type of player to put himself about for the Wednesday cause.
Last week against Plymouth he was handed the captain’s armband and clearly Rohl is a big fan of the midfielder.
In our view, Vaulks is still an asset to the Wednesday team and the club would be wise to get him tied down to a new deal in the near future.
