Sheffield Wednesday have enjoyed one of their best summers in recent years so far.
The Owls faced so much uncertainty as the season came to a close, with the possibility of relegation looming.
Danny Rohl managed to keep Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship though, and soon the contract renewals and transfer business arrived.
Barry Bannan and Liam Palmer were the first to commit their futures to the club, before Dominic Iorfa and Josh Windass followed.
Fans were forced to worry about the future of Di’Shon Bernard though, with the defender jetting off to the United States for the Copa America.
Wednesday were set to resume contract talks with the Jamaican once he returned, but supporters were left even more concerned when he posted a picture of his suitcase.
However, the mood quickly changed when it was confirmed that he had put pen to paper on a new deal last week.

Rohl was never worried about Di’Shon Bernard’s commitment
Despite worries among the fanbase, Rohl has now claimed it was always ‘very clear’ that he would stay at Hillsborough.
Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield, Rohl said: “”That was a long way to go, there are different reasons. One reason was of course the tournament. We had this agreement before and I said to him go the tournament and try your best, really just focus for the tournament.
“Before this tournament, we were still in contact and even during the tournament, I wrote some messages after some games there but we didn’t speak about the future until he came back.
“Yeah, I think it was really clear that both sides want to do the next step together. We have a good relationship. I know him, I know his potential. I see a lot of good things from him. I think his level is not achieved at the moment, as there is a lot of space to improve by him.
“We bring a lot of tools with us and it was a big, big part to bring him back to Wednesday. I think it was good to see and yeah, I’m very happy.”
Where would Sheffield Wednesday be without Rohl?
Wednesday did lose Will Vaulks this summer, but otherwise they have managed to tie down all their key players and make major strides in strengthening the squad too.
While it was unclear how much interest there was in Bernard, there is no doubt that he would have had the pick of a number of Championship clubs if he was to leave Yorkshire.
However, he ended up staying at Hillsborough and that proves exactly how far the club have come under Rohl.
If the German had left the club then it seems pretty obvious that Bernard would have left for another club, but it is the 35-year-old that is the key reason why they have managed to keep hold of so much talent and attract even more players too.
