Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl has explained the intriguing area where Bambo Diaby has helped out in training. The player signed for the Owls during the summer from Preston North End and he’s settled in just nicely.
The uncompromising defender has been in pretty decent form for the Owls since Rohl came to the club. He was often considered a little clumsy when he first came but he’s not started to show his very best form.
Diaby has been ever-present at the heart of the Wednesday defensive unit since Rohl came in. He’s an integral part of the team and the manager has been praising his central defender.

The 25-year-old Spaniard is proving a very useful addition to the Wednesday ranks. It would appear that he’s also a strong character within the dressing room.
Rohl has been quizzed on Wednesday defender Diaby ahead of tomorrow night’s game against Norwich. The Owls boss has explained the intriguing area that he’s helped him out on the training ground.
He told The Star: “First of all, he is very positive and this is important. He is always, always giving his best on the pitch and when I see him in training. When we lost against Birmingham he was the guy the next day who was immediately there and wanting to train to make it better.
“It shows a lot and he’s very open-minded for all the tactical things and he’s always asking what we can do. He is helpful as a translator sometimes for all of the players; he gives that link and he is very clear in his mind. Bambo wants to be the best on the pitch, to do everything and he has shown he believes in this club, in our group and our way.”
Diaby is proving a leader in the Wednesday pack
At 25, Diaby could prove to be a very useful signing for Wednesday. He has bags of time left on his side and he does lower the average age of the squad.
Rohl has been a breath of fresh air since he came to Wednesday. To say he’s new to the management industry, he’s quickly established how he wants to play and he’s now overseeing some good results.
What Diaby has done very well is identify a settled defensive unit. The player is one of the players that he’s put his trust in and it appears he’s thriving behind the scenes.
Wednesday managed to get Diaby to Hillsborough for an extremely small fee. Right now, he’s proving to be worth his weight in gold. With that in mind, it will be hoped that he can continue to thrive under Rohl’s management.
