Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United fans will be full of nerves heading into this weekend’s meeting.
The Owls are looking to return to winning ways after they were hammered by Sunderland at the weekend, while Leeds are yet to pick up their first win.
Sheffield Wednesday haven’t lost any key players this summer and so bringing in further additions isn’t quite as important, but they are still hopeful of adding to their signings before next week’s deadline.
At Elland Road, there is significant pressure on them to add to their four new players, having sold some of their biggest stars.
Georginio Rutter, Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Glen Kamara have all left the club following their failure to win promotion.
Leeds United drop update ahead of Hillsborough trip
Leeds are desperate to bring in replacements as soon as possible, however Daniel Farke has now issued fans with an update that Wednesday supporters will be happy to hear.
Speaking to The Yorkshire Post, Farke said: “We’ve had many exits, that’s definitely a fact and we’ve lost many of our key players.
“We definitely need to bring a few players in and there’s still a lot of work to do, that’s for sure.
“I know we will need to play the next game without new signings then hopefully in the next week we can do some business so we have one, perhaps two games where we don’t have the support of new signings but we still have a proper group to be ready to win points in these two games. This is my task.”

Leeds have a very strong team for the Championship and looked likely to dominate this term if they had kept their key players. However, things look a lot different without them.
While the likes of Wilfried Gnonto and Dan James still pose huge attacking threats, it will be a relief to Danny Rohl and his players that they won’t have to come up against any new talent.
Wednesday are really up against it this weekend after a terrible defensive performance last time out, so they need to know exactly what they are up against and deal with it appropriately.
