Coventry City have been handed an injury boost ahead of their trip to Sheffield Wednesday later this week.
Sheffield Wednesday will host Coventry City for the second time in a week this Friday – though this time their clash will take place in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
After enduring a 2-0 defeat in the Midlands on Boxing Day, The Owls failed to claim a single point against Coventry once again at the weekend, with Josh Windass’ goal proving to be only a consolation.
Sheffield Wednesday will be handed yet another opportunity to beat the Sky Blues this week, though Mark Robins could welcome one of his star men back to the squad.
Haji Wright has been absent through injury since their win over Middlesbrough in New Year’s Day, having previously bagged two goals and three assists in their last four matches in the Championship.
Wright is currently the second top goalscorer (8) and has picked up the most assists (5), so Sheffield Wednesday fans could be a little concerned by the latest injury update.
Speaking to Coventry Live, manager Mark Robins said: “He’s on the grass, so he’s getting close.
“It means that the injury has healed sufficiently and we just have to make sure the final part of it is right before we reintroduce him. But I think he will be on the grass with us and start to be reintegrated into training.”
The report claims the American forward has taken a ‘significant step forward’ in his recovery, but states that it is still unclear whether he will be fit to face Sheffield Wednesday.

Sheffield Wednesday really need to put on a solid performance against Coventry City this time, mostly for their confidence if not the result.
The Owls really don’t want to lose to the same team three times in the space of a month, while it would also mean they had suffered three defeats on the bounce.
Of course, Danny Rohl‘s main focus will be on their Championship status, but progressing in the FA Cup could really help moral ahead of next week’s league match against Watford.
Sheffield Wednesday now sit 23rd in the second tier and are five points from safety – so a win over the Hornets is an absolutely must.
Watford are certainly there for the taking, having won one of their last four matches. However, they have also only been beaten once in their last seven games in all competitions.
